Don Bosco Makkalalaya was Honoured for the Services to Children in Mysore
A proud moment for Don Bosco Makkalalaya, led by Fr. Jim Jose SDB, as it received district-level recognition for the committed efforts in safeguarding child rights in Mysore district.
As part of the World Day Against Child Labour celebrations on June 12, 2025, Mr. Emmanuel, Dist. Coordinator, Child Safety Net Project, Don Bosco Makkalalaya, was honoured with a special award by the Labour Department of Mysore district, Government of Karnataka.
The award was presented by Smt. Usha Rani, Chief District Judge and Chairperson of DLSA, Mr. Amarnath KK, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary, Mr. Ravichandra, CWC Chairperson, Smt. Verna SR, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Mr. Chethan Kumar, Labour Officer, Mr. Mallikarjuna, Project Director, Labour Department and Mr. Raghu, Childline Coordinator.
Don Bosco Makkalalaya took active participation in the rally organised in collaboration with various government departments. Over 300 people participated in this vibrant rally to mark the day, spreading a strong message against child labour and promoting child rights, particularly the Right to Education.
