Introduction
On 10 June 2026, the Don Bosco Mobile Clinic Team, Kalaburagi, in collaboration with Al-Badar Dental College & Hospital, ABMS Hospital, and Aurad (B) PHC, successfully organized a Free Health Check-up and Awareness Camp for the local community. The camp aimed to provide accessible healthcare services and promote awareness regarding oral health, eye care, and general health issues among rural residents.

Objectives
The primary objectives of the camp were:

• To provide free general health check-ups to community members.
• To conduct eye screening and dental examinations.
• To identify common health problems at an early stage.
• To educate the public about the prevention and management of Tuberculosis (TB), High Blood Pressure (BP), Diabetes (Sugar), oral health problems, and eye-related diseases.
• To encourage healthy lifestyle practices and regular health monitoring.

Activities Conducted
General Health Check-up
Medical professionals from the Don Bosco Mobile Clinic Team conducted comprehensive health examinations. Blood pressure and blood sugar levels were checked, and participants received medical consultations, medicines distributed free of cost and guidance regarding their health conditions.

Eye Check-up
Specialized eye screening services were provided to identify vision-related problems and other eye conditions. Participants requiring further treatment were advised to seek advanced care at appropriate healthcare facilities.

Dental Check-up
Dental experts from Al-Badar Dental College & Hospital conducted oral examinations, identifying dental caries, gum diseases, and other oral health issues. Participants were educated on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.

Health Awareness Sessions
Awareness sessions were conducted on:

• Oral hygiene and dental care
• Prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis (TB)
• Management of High Blood Pressure (BP)
• Prevention and control of Diabetes (Sugar)
• Eye care and vision protection
• Importance of regular health check-ups and healthy lifestyle habits

Educational messages were delivered interactively, enabling participants to understand the importance of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis.
Participation
The camp received an encouraging response from the community. A total of 132 beneficiaries participated in the program and availed themselves of the free health, eye, and dental check-up services.
Outcome
The health camp successfully enhanced with the help of local panchayat members and Asha workers. community awareness regarding various health issues and provided essential healthcare services to underserved populations. Several individuals with health concerns were identified and referred for further medical evaluation and treatment. The awareness sessions helped participants gain valuable knowledge about disease prevention, personal hygiene, and healthy living practices.

The Free Health Check-up and Awareness Camp was a successful initiative that demonstrated the importance of collaborative healthcare efforts.
