Don Bosco Vaduthala Hosts LED Bulb-Making Workshop for Students
On August 22, 2024, Don Bosco Junior School Vaduthala, in collaboration with Don Bosco ITI, organized a 3-hour LED bulb-making workshop for 4th-grade students. Held in the Electronics Lab of the ITI, the session aimed to provide practical experience in electrical and electronics work. Fr. Shibu Davis, the Rector emphasized the importance of practical education in the inaugural function. Mrs. Philomena and ITI instructors guided students in assembling LED bulbs. The bill of materials came to around ₹60 per bulb, making the workshop a cost-effective way to spark students’ interest and promote the continued exploration of these skills in a sustainable manner. Fr. Raju Philip, Principal of Don Bosco ITI, expressed a keen interest in partnering with other institutions to broaden the reach of this initiative and enhance skill development opportunities for more young students.
The workshop will also be extended to students of other grades in the coming days.
