Don Bosco Youth Centre Thope Celebrates Onam and Welcomes New Members

Thope, 25 August 2026: Don Bosco Youth Centre Thope celebrated a joyful Onam gathering on 25 August 2026, bringing together youth members and well-wishers in a spirit of fellowship, unity and celebration. The programme also marked the membership gathering of the Youth Centre, encouraging more young people to actively participate in the activities and mission of the centre.
The programme began at 10.00 a.m. with the inauguration meeting. The gathering provided an opportunity to welcome the members, strengthen relationships among the youth and inspire them to take an active role in the various programmes of the Youth Centre.
A highlight of the celebration was the traditional Onam lunch served at 1.00 p.m. Members shared the festive meal together, creating an atmosphere of friendship and community. The lunch added a special traditional touch to the celebration and reflected the spirit of Onam—sharing, togetherness and joy.
The afternoon continued with a variety of Onam games and recreational activities, in which the youth participated enthusiastically. The games provided moments of fun, laughter and healthy competition while strengthening the bond among the members.
The celebrations concluded at 5.00 p.m. with a renewed sense of friendship and community.
