DREAM Project Thrissur observes International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
DREAM Project Thrissur observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with an Anti-Drug Campaign in collaboration with Manalur Panchayat and District Vimukthi Mission.
The programme started at Kanjani Bus Stand with a flash mob by the students from the Department of Social Work, St Mary’s College, Thrissur, and the students of Govt. ITI, Manaloor. The Sub Inspector of Anthikad Police Station flagged off the cycle rally in which students from various schools in the panchayat participated. The rally ended at Kandassankadavu Pavilion with a formal programme on the Anti-Drug Campaign.
Mr. Tony Athanickal (Chairperson, Health-Education Standing Committee) welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Pushpa Viswambharan (Vice-President, Manalur Panchayat) presided, and Fr. Mathew Kapplikunnel (District Director, DREAM Project Thrissur) inaugurated the meeting. Mr. Praveen and Mr. Kadadass from Vimukthi shared their messages on the anti-drug campaign. Several local dignitaries offered their felicitations, and the programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ashna Maria Raju (CWF).
