Empowering Communities for a Greener Future: CHITHRA Don Bosco Organizes Tree Planting Program in Chitradurga

As part of Vanamahotsava Mr. Siddaramaiah, honorable Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka has launched a drive to plant 1 Crore saplings from July 1 to 7. For this purpose CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga under the collaboration of BREADS Bangalore organized a tree planting programme on 4th July 2023 at Pandarahalli village, Chitradurga. Rev. Fr. Steven Lawrence (Director of CHITHRA), Spoorthy SHG members, Durgambika SHG members and Mr. Jayanna (CHITHRA staff) were present in the programme. Fr. Steven said that now days the environment is getting polluted in many ways, if every woman aware now and plants at least one plant in front of her house, then only we will get a better environment in the future.
