First Profession of 20 novices at Don Bosco Padivayal

The Salesian Novitiate community at Mount Don Bosco, Padivayal was graced to witness the first profession of twenty Novices (four for Bangalore, five for Kolkata and eleven for New Delhi) of three Provinces of India, Bangalore, New Delhi and Kolkata, on 24th May 2023. The group was consists of twenty Novices coming from six states of India which in itself was an enriching experience. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jose Thomas Koyickal, the Provincial of Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore. Rev. Fr. Davis Maniparamben, the Provincial of New Delhi Province and Fr. Sunil Kerketta the Vice provincial of St. John Bosco Province of Kolkata concelebrated with him. A number of invited priests and nuns were present for the celebration.  The solemn liturgical celebration began at 09.30 am and it was well animated and actively participated by the community. A good number of close relatives of Novices from different parts of India were present to witness the solemn event.  Fr. Jose Koyickal took the vows of the Novices of Bangalore and Kolkata provinces and Fr. Davis Maniparamben of the Novices of New Delhi province. The solemn celebration was followed by a sumptuous and delicious fellowship meal.
