Fr.Dominic Veliath laid to rest; Salesians bid a mournful adieu

Salesians and the well-wishers bid an emotional farewell to veteran theologian Fr.Dominic Veliath.
The body of Fr.Dominic was buried in Kristu Jyothi College cemetery at 10.30 a.m. today.
The funeral ceremony of Fr. Veliath was presided over by Fr.Shalbin Kalanchery, the Vice Provincial. Fr.K.M.Jose, Provincial of Chennai, Fr.Ashley, Vice Provincial of Mumbai, Mgr.Francis and Mrg.Jayanathan of the archdiocese of Bangalore along with hundreds of priests, religious and well wishers attended the funeral ceremony.
The final rites were presided over by Most Rev.Peter Machado, the Archbishop of Bangalore.
Several people gathered at Kristu Jyothi College to pay their homage to the much loved and appreciated theology professor Fr.Dominic.
Fr.Dominic is no more with us physically. But the sweet reminiscences and grateful recollections of
Fr. Dominic are sure to linger on for a long time to come.
