Gothrakiranm 2.0 launched in Wayanad: Free PSC coaching for 100 Tribal Youth
SIGHT Wayanad and the Janamythri Excise Squad Manathavady launched “Gothrakiranam 2.0,” a free Public Service Commission (PSC) coaching program, on November 13th. The initiative is aimed at empowering the tribal youth of Wayanad. The comprehensive, six-month training program is designed to coach 100 young individuals to secure government jobs.This initiative aimed at empowering the tribal youth of Wayanad. The initiative seeks to provide essential educational support and opportunities for career advancement to the district’s tribal population. The inaugural ceremony was held recently and presided over by Fr. Antony John, President of SIGHT.
On this occasion, the annual report of SIGHT Wayanad was also officially released. Ms. Meghasree D R IAS, the esteemed District Collector, officially inaugurated the coaching program and engaged in an interactive session with the attendees, emphasizing the administration’s support for such grassroots initiatives. A panel of distinguished guest speakers addressed the gathering, offering insights and encouragement to the aspiring students. The speakers included Mr. Aneesh Chacko (Civil Judge & Secretary, District Legal Services Authority – DLSA), Mr. A J Shaji (Deputy Excise Commissioner, Wayanad). The intensive six-month coaching classes are expected to run, equipping the 100 participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully clear competitive examinations, thereby improving their livelihoods and contributing to the development of the community.
