Don Bosco Mithra School, Horamavu traces its humble origin back to Muneshwara village in 1995, when its founders, Mr. Rosario and Mrs. Elizabeth, a visionary couple, put up a small shed to enable the slum children to attend classes. Over the years, space constraints and lack of adequate facilities compelled them to shift the school to different locations several times.
Finally, in 2006, Don Bosco Mithra School was shifted to its present location at TC Palya Link Road in Horamavu, where the school has become an integral part of the welfare and development of slum dwellers in the locality by providing quality education.
Later entrusted by the couple to the Salesians of Don Bosco to continue the vision and mission of uplifting the underprivileged through education, the Don Bosco Mithra School, Horamavu continues to be a champion for the cause of imparting holistic education to the children from the less privileged communities in the area.
