IDS Alappuzha gifted a tricycle & better Livelihood to Mr. Paul

IDS Alappuzha presented a brand new tricycle to Mr. Paul, a person with a disability.

Mr. Paul sold lottery tickets for a living and used a tricycle for commuting before the pandemic. He had to discontinue the sale of lottery tickets due to the lockdown, and his previously owned tricycle fell apart due to lack of use and maintenance. He struggled to resume the sale of lottery tickets post-lockdown as he was dependent on his tricycle. Thus, the tricycle will help him to restart the sale of lottery to a earn a sustainable livelihood.

Ms. Mary Leena, Ward Councillor, was informed about the situation by the family. IDS Alappuzha supported the initiative and, along with the councilor gifted a new tricycle to Mr. Paul.

The Ward Councillor, IDS Alappuzha staff members, the Assistant Vicar of Devajana Matha Church, Vadakkal and the local party committee members were present for the occasion.
