Igniting Young Leaders: Bosco Youth Karnataka Hosts Dynamic PALS Meet in Chitradurga

On 28th September, Bosco Youth Karnataka successfully conducted the PALS (Programme for Animators, Leaders and Salesians) gathering at Don Bosco Chitradurga. The event drew together 40 vibrant young leaders and Salesians from across the state, including communities from Hospet, Mysore, Hassan, Tumkur, Gulbarga and Chitradurga.

The day began with registration at 10:00 AM, followed by a meaningful inaugural ceremony at 10:30 AM. Gracing the occasion were Fr K O Varghese, Provincial Councillor and Youth Pastoral Delegate, and Fr V M Mathew, Rector of Don Bosco Chitradurga, along with other dignitaries and Salesians. Fr Dilip, Youth Director of Karnataka, warmly welcomed the gathering. Fr V M Mathew delivered an inspiring inaugural message on the essence of leadership, while Fr K O Varghese set the tone for the day with his powerful keynote address.

The programme featured a series of engaging and formative sessions:

Fr Maria Praveen spoke on Collective Responsibility as Leaders. Fr Francis Xavier explored Emotional Intelligence. Fr Dilip guided a session on Groups and Movements, followed by group discussions.Fr Sanjay energized the group with interactive games and songs, fostering camaraderie and joy.

The entire programme was generously sponsored by the Don Bosco Chitradurga community, whose support made the day a memorable and impactful experience for all.

The PALS meet was a vibrant platform of learning, collaboration, and empowerment, aiming to build responsible, emotionally intelligent, and mission-driven youth leaders in the Salesian spirit.
