Inauguration of the New Community Hall at St. Joseph’s Church, Susaipalayam

October 12, 2025, was a significant and joy-filled day for the community of Don Bosco ITI, KGF, as a new community hall at St. Joseph’s Church, Susaipalayam was solemnly inaugurated. The ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. K. D. (Kootungal) Varghese SDB, the Provincial Councillor for Missionary Animation of the Bangalore Province.

The celebration began with a prayer and blessing at 10.45 a.m. led by Fr. Varghese himself, followed by a felicitation function. During the programme, Fr. Rachagadoss SDB and Fr. K. V. Sebastian SDB—both from the Chennai Province—spoke warmly of their association with the parish. Fr. Rachagadoss recalled that during his tenure as Parish Priest, the parish had received financial assistance from the Minority Commission of the Government of Karnataka, while Fr. K. V. Sebastian highlighted the early phase of the construction initiated during his time as Parish Priest. Both commended Fr. C. M. Jose SDB, the present Parish Priest, for his leadership in mobilizing resources and completing the project.

Fr. Previnth SDB, Rector of Don Bosco ITI, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Fr. C. M. Jose and all the benefactors for their sustained efforts. Representing the Provincial, who was abroad, and his Council, Fr. K. D. Varghese SDB expressed appreciation to everyone involved and conveyed the Provincial’s congratulatory message to Fr. Jose for his dedicated service.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship meal—lunch for the invited guests and snacks for the catechism children. Special thanks were extended to Rev. Fr. Parattukudy Sebastian, Fr. Stephy Francis, the parish council members, and the youth for their generous assistance in organizing the event.

The inauguration of the new community hall stands as a proud milestone for the parish community—a symbol of unity, generosity, and the enduring missionary spirit of the Don Bosco family in KGF.
