Initiation of the Pre-Novices at Don Bosco Seminary, Mysore

On the blessed day of Pentecost, 8th June 2025, Don Bosco Seminary, Mysore, joyfully welcomed ten aspirants into the Pre-novitiate Formation Program. This significant spiritual milestone marked the beginning of their formal journey in Salesian religious life.

The initiation took place during a solemn Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore (INK). He was joined by Fr. Shalbin Kalanchery SDB, the Vice Provincial, and Fr. Joy Nedumparambil SDB the Economer, who were present to witness and support the aspirants as they took this important step.

During the Mass, the aspirants were formally received and entrusted to the guidance of the Pre-novitiate Formation team. We commend these ten young men to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the loving protection of Mary Help of Christians, as they begin their path of discernment and formation in the Salesian way of life.
