Onam Celebrations at Youth Centre DB Bhavan

We are One – this motto of DBYC came true in the Onam celebrations of YC at DB Bhavan, Mannuthy on 4 September.  The Salesian community and the YC members celebrated Onam together.  The 72 members of the YC, grouped into eight teams, beautifully and in unison competed in the floral decorations. The Tug of war competition was skillfully managed by the participants and the referees.  For the Onam festival meal, the eight teams prepared an item each at their homes.  These were supplemented by the Salesian community.  The confreres, the aspirants and the youth centre members had the meal in the refectory of the aspirants.  There was much joy and mirth in serving and sharing with each other as members of one family. Games such as breaking the pot followed after the lunch.  It was indeed a true celebration of happiness and unity.
