PTA Annual General Body Meeting of Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly
A rain drenched July morning could not dampen the high spirits of the eager and enthusiastic parents attending the PTA Annual General Body Meeting of Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly for the academic year 2023-24. The spirit was still raised with the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri. Abdul Bassith A, a Civil Excise Officer of Palakkad Division, an expert trailblazer in the campaign against drug abuse.
The meeting commenced at 9. 45 am with the prayer song invoking the blessings of the Almighty which was followed by a warm and beautiful welcome by the Administrator and Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Jilson Erikattu. He introduced the new members of the Management to the audience and welcomed the Chief Guest.
The PTA President, Mr. Praveen G. Nair delivered the Presidential address. The Chief Guest, Shri. Abdul Bassith A, inaugurated the meeting and also held a session on the awareness on Drug Abuse. The spirit filled session, based on the current situation prevalent in our society was inspiring, informative and at the same time pricked the conscience of the parents. At the end of the session the parents along with the teachers pledged themselves to keep themselves away from the clutches of the dangerous substances. They wanted to have this session for their children too. The session was so good.
The PTA Annual Report and accounts were presented by Mrs. Sreeja K. R. And Mrs. Mini K. L. presented her views on the advantages of choosing ICSE / ISC syllabus. A short session on the Career book ERP, a newly introduced app which connects the school to the parents, was introduced. The possibility of introducing the IRLTS for our students were also discussed.
After the Election of the PTA Executive Committee members, the instruction to the parents were given by both the Principal and Vice Principal. The authorities also listened to the suggestions from the parents for the enhancement of the curricular and co-curricular activities.
Mrs. Roopa B., thanked everyone for their active participation, spending their valuable time for the benefit of their children. The meeting came to a close with the National Anthem. The parents also met the teachers and recorded their attendance in the meeting.
