Renowned Theologian Fr. Dominic Veliath SDB passes away

Salesian Province of Bangalore and the Salesians at large mourn the death of Fr.Dominic Veliath SDB (79). He passed away on 27th November at 8.15 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, 29th November 2021 at Kristu Jyoti College, Bangalore.
Born on 25th January 1942 at Visakhapatnam, Fr. Dominic Veliath made his temporary commitment on 24th May 1962 at The retreat, Yercaud. He made his perpetual profession on 24th May 1968 and was ordained a priest on October 31st 1973 at Yercaud, by Bp. Selvanathen. He served the province mostly as the Professor and Rector at Kristu Jyothi College, Bangalore.
A very compassionate and fatherly figure…..an excellent formator, a very broadminded person, a true Salesian unto the heart of Don Bosco, A man with an open mind….dedicated and committed…..A true teacher who knows the mind of the Church.
