Senior Salesians Meet at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bangalore24–25 September 2025

The Meeting of the Senior Salesians was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bangalore, on 24 and 25 September 2025. Sixteen participants from sixteen communities came together for two days of prayer, reflection, and sharing.

The gathering began with prayer, welcome, and inauguration. The first session, “Taking Care of the Mental Health”, was led by Fr. Kokkandathil Joe SDB, offering valuable guidance on the importance of emotional and psychological well-being.

The day also included the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and lunch, after which Fr. Joe conducted the second session on mental health. Later, the participants enjoyed fellowship during an outing to IVY Resort, where they shared dinner together before returning to the Provincial House.

The second day opened with morning prayer, meditation, and the Holy Eucharist, followed by breakfast. A prayerful start led into the first session on “Ethics in Health Care”, conducted by Dr. Mario Vaz, who explored important ethical dimensions in healthcare.

After a short break, Dr. Vaz continued with the second session on the same theme, providing deeper insights and practical perspectives. Following lunch, the participants engaged in a session of discussion and sharing, exchanging reflections and experiences. The meeting concluded with tea and departure.

The two-day gathering was marked by prayer, fraternity, and meaningful sessions. With reflections on mental health and ethics in healthcare, along with opportunities for sharing and community bonding, the meeting offered inspiration and renewed strength for the Salesians in their mission.
