SIGHT Wayanad Hosts PSC Rank Distribution Ceremony for Paniya Unnathi Community Students

The distribution of PSC ranks to students attending free coaching sessions under the SIGHT Wayanad (an NGO of the Don Bosco College, sulthan Bathery) and Jana Mythiri Excise Department took place today, marking a significant milestone in the community’s pursuit of government employment. The event, titled Gothrakiranam, focused on a six-month PSC coaching program specifically designed for the Paniya Unnathi community. The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Justy Baby, President of the Block Panchayat, who emphasized the importance of education and community empowerment. The event was further distinguished by the presence of Mr. K. S. Shaji, Joint Excise Commissioner, who distributed the first volume of preparatory books to the students, encouraging their continued dedication. Attendees also included the Assistant Commissioner of the Excise Department and several other dignitaries from the SIGHT Wayanad team. Initially, 55 students embarked on this free coaching journey half a year ago. Today, 48 students remain committed and motivated, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and determination to achieve their goal of securing government jobs.
