SIGHT Wayanad Hosts “Snehatheeram” for Senior Citizens
SIGHT Wayanad, in collaboration with the Department of Social Work at Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, organized “Snehatheeram,” a special day dedicated to the senior citizens of Wayanad district.
Students and volunteers actively participated in the event, arranging transportation to ensure that elderly guests could attend comfortably. The day was filled with engaging activities, meaningful interactions, and joyful moments, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. Gifts were shared, further enhancing the spirit of the occasion.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Antony Thekkedath SDB, who welcomed the attendees with heartfelt remarks. Dr. Shajan Norohna SDB, the principal of the College and Ms. Sherin Baby, Head of the Social Work Department, also expressed their gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
“Snehatheeram” not only celebrated the contributions of senior citizens but also fostered a sense of community and connection among all participants.
