Snehasangamam 2024: A Day of Joy for Underprivileged Children at Don Bosco, Irinjalakuda

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda, hosted Snehasangamam, a heartwarming event organized by the Salesian Cooperators and the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), dedicating an entire day to supporting underprivileged children from various shelters across the region. The event welcomed nearly 400 young participants, who enjoyed games, cultural programs, and a lively atmosphere filled with care and kindness.

The program was officially inaugurated by Justice Harisankar V. Menon of the Kerala High Court, with Mrs. Marykutty Joy, Municipal Chairperson of Irinjalakuda, also gracing the occasion. Inspiring speeches were delivered by Fr. Emmanuel Vattakunnel, Rector; Mr. Seby Maileckal, PTA President of DBLPS; Mr.James and Mr. O.S. Varghese, adding depth and encouragement to the event’s purpose.

In addition to a variety of engaging activities and cultural performances, the children were treated to a sumptuous meal and provided with thoughtfully collected gifts and essential materials, generously donated by the students of Don Bosco. This gesture underscored the school’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

The event concluded on a joyous note, with children leaving the campus with bright smiles and cherished memories, carrying with them a renewed sense of hope and belonging.
