SSG Collaborates with Montfortians for Montfort Games 2026: Children “Walk an Extra Mile” in Bengaluru

In a heartwarming display of inter-congregational collaboration and commitment to youth empowerment, the Social Service Guild (SSG) of Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru, partnered with the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel to organize Montfort Games 2026 at Lake Montfort School, on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Held under the inspiring theme “Walk an Extra Mile,” the sporting event commemorated the birth anniversary of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort and provided children from underprivileged backgrounds an opportunity to showcase their athletic talents. 100 select children from SSG learning and activity centres participated in the event, joined by some 20 past pupils of SSG who returned to cheer on the young athletes and reconnect with their roots.

The collaboration was spearheaded by Br. Pramod, a Montfort Brother currently pursuing his theological studies at Kristu Jyoti College. Working closely with SSG, Br. Pramod envisioned the event as a platform for children to experience the joy of sports, healthy competition, and community celebration.
