Swatch Bidar (Chickpet) Abhiyan: A Cleanliness Drive by Don Bosco ITI, Bidar

To promote cleanliness, hygiene, and community engagement through a city-wide cleanliness drive Don Bosco ITI along with Social wing of Don Bosco and the health department of Bidar organised a day of cleanliness drive in Chickpet in which Mr. Sandeep CHO PHC Janwad, Mrs. Ashalatha PHO PHCJanwad, Mrs. Shanthamma asha worker, Janwad, Mr. Santosh GP member along with Rev. Fr. Mathew SDB, Administrator and Principal of Don Bosco ITI, Rev. Fr. Praveen SDB, Principal of Don Bosco ICICI school and Rev. Fr. Sonychen SDB and the social work team and all the ITI as well as DBTech students along with few village members participated actively. The event began with a formal inaugural function compered by Mr. Seemappa, the coordinator of Foster Care in Bidar and he invited Rev. Fr. Praveen to address the gathering. Fr. Praveen invited everyone to climb one atep at a time and thus reach easily the top most by making gradual efforts and in turn keeping our own premises clean and tidy. Later the participants cleaned major street ways and public areas, collecting all the waste and gathering it up. Local residents, shopkeepers, and vendors actively participated, pledging to maintain cleanliness. Collected waste was properly disposed of, with emphasis on recycling and segregation. Visible improvement in Chickpet’s cleanliness was seen.
