Visit of Economer General Fr. Gabriel Stawowy to the Salesian Province of Bangalore – A Moment of Grace and Blessing
The Economer General’s four-day visit to the Salesian communities and institutions entered its third day on Wednesday, marked by meaningful interactions and ongoing engagements.
The visit began on Monday, with the Economer General spending time at BREADS, the Crèche, and DB BEST. He later joined the community at Don Bosco Church, Lingarajapuram, for lunch before proceeding to the BOSCO Street Children Centres. The day concluded with his arrival at the Don Bosco Provincial House for Vespers, Holy Mass, and an evening of fellowship.
On Tuesday, he travelled to Mysore, where he visited the boarding home, the skill training centre, and the Palace. He then reached the Pre-Novitiate House for Holy Mass and lunch, followed by a visit to Don Bosco Prakashpalaya, where he interacted with the school, boarding, and parish communities. He remained there overnight.
Today, Wednesday, the Economer General began the day by celebrating Holy Mass for the boarding children, followed by breakfast. He then addressed the school students, offering words of encouragement. He has since returned to the Provincial House for lunch and rest.
The visitation continues this afternoon with scheduled stops at Visvadeep, Don Bosco College, and Kristu Jyoti College (Theologate). The day will conclude with a conference and Good Night message to the clerics and staff before returning to the Provincial House.
The visit will formally conclude on Thursday, with Holy Mass and his departure to the airport.
