Women stand against child marriage to mark the International Women’s Day
CHITHRA Don Bosco in collaboration with the district administration, Zilla Panchayat, WCD and DCPU celebrated the International Women’s Day by organising an oath taking ceremony to eradicate child marriage in the district of Chitradurga on 6th March 2022. Mr. B. C. Patil, Minister of Agriculture and Minister in charge of Chitradurga district inaugurated the event. Mrs. Kavitha S Manniketi, DC, Dr. Nandini Devi, CEO, Mr. Rajanaik, Deputy Director, Mr. Lokeshwarappa, DCPO, Mrs. Sudha, CDPO and representatives of special juvenile Police Unit, District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee were present for the event. Minister presided over the oath against child marriage and flagged off the campaign lorry which is to travel around the rural areas of Chitradurga district to create awareness against child marriage.
