Zerodha Varsity Quiz Ignites Young Minds at Don Bosco Vidyakshekthra
Prakashpalya, September 3, 2025 – Don Bosco Vidyakshekthra, Prakashpalya, in collaboration with Zerodha Varsity, hosted an intellectually stimulating quiz competition that combined fun, teamwork, and learning.
The event emphasized the spirit of education as a shared responsibility, much like threads woven into a fabric. As one author notes, “Learning helps both the one who teaches and the one who listens.” With this spirit, the quiz became a celebration of knowledge where both participants and audience engaged enthusiastically.
The much-anticipated program began at 10:00 a.m. in the school auditorium, with nearly 400 students from classes IX, X, I PU, and II PU in attendance. Prior to the event, each student received a small comic hamper and answer sheet, adding to the excitement.
The ceremony was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Lawrence, Manager of Don Bosco Vidyakshekthra; Rev. Fr. Sebastian, Principal of the English Medium High School; Mr. Mahadeva, Principal of the Kannada Medium School and PU College; and Mr. Nagendra, Vice Principal. The lamp-lighting ceremony was followed by a short address from Fr. Sebastian, who highlighted the do’s and don’ts of the competition and the intellectual benefits of such events.
The quiz was skillfully animated by Miss Manju, while Miss Poonam, along with the teaching staff, oversaw the grading process. The preliminary round, lasting an hour and a half, saw participation from all students. After a short interval, the competition resumed with six shortlisted teams, each comprising three members. The second round was marked by intense competition, with every group striving hard to outperform the others.
In the end, one group emerged victorious, bagging the first prize of ₹5,000. The first runner-up received ₹3,000, and the second runner-up was awarded ₹2,000. All participants also received individual and group prizes.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by a photo session. Dignitaries, teachers, and students congratulated the winners and expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation. The event ended on a high note, filled with positivity, gratitude, and renewed passion for learning.
