Don Bosco Bhadravati had its origin in 1994 when the parish of St. Joseph the Worker at Paper Town was handed over to the Salesians in Perpetuity. The parish consists of 250 families, people mainly belonging to the working class, who are not economically well to do.
Don Bosco Institute of Industrial Training (DBIIT) was established in 1995 with the intention of training youth and providing employment opportunities. The institute offers Formal courses (Electronics, Fitter, Turner and Welder) and Non formal courses (Computer, Automobile, Service Station, Tailoring) in collaboration with Landmark (LIST). Boarding facilities are also available for students.
