Bosco Youth Membership Program – Don Bosco Hassan

On 5th September 2025, Don Bosco Hassan organized the Bosco Youth Membership Program with the participation of 25 enthusiastic youth, comprising local youngsters and students of the ITI who expressed their willingness to be part of the Bosco Youth.
The program began with a prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp marking the inauguration. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Kishan, who has been an active member of Bosco Youth for the past 15 years and now serves as an Honorary Member. In his address, he shared his enriching experiences of being part of the Bosco Youth Movement and encouraged the young participants to grow in unity and service.
A short orientation program was then led by Fr. Francis Xavier SDB, the local Youth Animator, who introduced the Don Bosco Youth Movement (DBYM). He highlighted the importance of belonging to Bosco Youth and growing together in the spirit of Faith, Fellowship, Service, and Joy.
The most important event of the day was the election of the Core Team Members for the youth group. The following were elected to leadership roles:
- President: Benny
- Vice-President: Jeevan Babu
- Secretary: Wilson D’ Cunha
- Vice-Secretary: Dishanth
- Treasurer: Jaison Fernandes
Following the elections, the newly formed core team held a brief discussion with the other youth members. Together, they decided: - To create a WhatsApp group to include all members for official communication.
- To organize programs for the coming year at the local unit level.
- To collect and maintain a complete database of all Bosco Youth members.
The program concluded with a hymn to Don Bosco, after which tea and snacks were served for all the participants, marking the end of a joyful and spirit-filled gathering.
