Jyothi Nagar Marks 25 Years of Faith with Silver Jubilee of the Village Feast.

The vibrant community of Jyothi Nagar came together from September 11 to 14, 2025 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of its annual village feast, commemorating twenty-five years since the establishment of the beloved ‘Our Lady of Good Health’ Marian statue—an enduring symbol of faith, hope, and unity for the village.

The four-day celebration was a true testament to the spirit of the community, and the festivities drew large numbers from Jyothi Nagar as well as parishioners, religious, and well-wishers from the neighboring areas. Noteworthy among the guests were several priests who contributed to the spiritual and social growth of Jyothi Nagar: Fr Santhanaraj sdb, Fr. Peter Francis sdb, Fr. Angelo sdb, Fr. Jyothish sdb, Fr. Vinod sdb, Fr. Arogya Raj sdb, Fr. Mahimai sdb, Fr. Dominic Kristhuraj sdb, and Fr. Sunil Jose sdb.

The celebrations—organized by the village council members, St Gasper’s Church and SSG— commenced with a three-day triduum, each day marked by the recitation of the Holy Rosary, ceremonial flag hoisting, and solemn Eucharistic Celebrations in Tamil, Kannada, and bilingual formats. Distinguished celebrants included Rev. Fr. Dr. Susairaj P (Holy Family Church), Fr. Arogya Raj (SDB), and Rev. Fr. Paul Christopher, each fostering a deep sense of prayer and devotion. Bilingual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament offered on the third evening further enriched the spiritual atmosphere, followed each night by a communal meal that reinforced bonds of fellowship.

The feast reached its high point on September 14, 2025 with a festive Mass at 10:30 am, followed by felicitation of the pioneer Salesians, especially Fr Santhanaraj Ubagaram sdb who movingly recounted the profound contributions of the Social Service Guild (SSG) and KJC to the spiritual and social development of Jyoti Nagar. He also pledged to contribute to the renovation the SSG Centre at Jyotinagar. A grand community lunch followed, and villagers joined for a colorful evening procession, carrying statues of the Infant Jesus, Mary, and Jesus to every home—a moving display of public devotion and unity. The festivities concluded with a spirited adoration service, joyful dancing, and a final festive meal for all. Marking 25 years of deep Marian devotion and community growth, the Silver Jubilee feast stands as a powerful reminder of Jyothi Nagar’s spiritual journey. The event highlighted the enduring legacy of the community builders whose vision continues to inspire the faith for future generations.
