Animation Meeting for Young Priests 2025

Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru | October 31 – November 2, 2025
The Animation Meeting for Young Priests 2025 was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru, from October 31 to November 2, 2025, bringing together 39 young priests from across the province for three days of reflection, sharing, and spiritual renewal.

The meeting commenced on October 31 with a prayer service, welcome, and inaugural session. Fr. Ian Doulton SDB led the day’s sessions on “Vocational Fragility”, offering valuable insights into understanding and strengthening one’s priestly vocation. The day concluded with Confessions, Rosary, Vespers, Holy Eucharist animated by the 2020–21 batch, and a Goodnight Talk.

On November 1, the 2021–22 batch animated the Lauds and Meditation, followed by two more sessions by Fr. Ian Doulton SDB. The third session, led by Fr. D’Souza William and Fr. Sanil Kodappanamkunnel, focused on “Nurturing a Culture of Vocation Promotion in Our Province.” In the evening, participants joined the Holy Eucharist and Rosary Procession at St. Mary’s Basilica, Shivajinagar, followed by supper and fellowship.

The final day, November 2, began with Lauds and the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, the Provincial, and animated by the 2022–23 batch. The morning included a conference by Fr. Jose Koyickal, a concluding session on Vocational Fragility by Fr. Ian Doulton, and a time for discussions and sharing.

The three-day gathering concluded with evening tea and departure, leaving participants enriched, renewed, and inspired to continue their ministry with greater zeal and vocational depth.
