LITTLE DREAMS, BIG WINGSChildren’s Day Celebration 2025

In association with BREADS Bangalore, the first-year resident students of theology doing their urban slum outreach under the Social Service Guild (SSG), organized a joyful Children’s Day celebration on November 9, 2025. The event took place in the vibrant auditorium of Don Bosco College, drawing young dreamers from local SSG tuition centers who filled the campus with infectious enthusiasm and laughter from the early morning hours. Don Bosco Mitra School and Shishu Mandir kindly lent their school buses to ferry the children to and from the venue, ensuring safe and smooth transportation for all participants.

The festivities kicked off with a colorful cultural program, graced by esteemed chief guests Fr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, the Principal of Don Bosco College; Fr. Bosco Ponthokkan, the Rector of KJC; and Fr. Scaria Mattam. The children captivated the audience with their impressive performances, including lively dances, expressive mimes, heartfelt songs, and creative dress-up acts that painted the hall with bursts of color and delight. Their talents shone brightly, reflecting the boundless energy of childhood.

To honor their creativity and hard work, several children received prizes for competitions held in the weeks leading up to the event. Throughout the day, the young participants were well-cared for, enjoying nutritious snacks in the morning, a hearty lunch in the afternoon, and evening snacks to keep the fun going. Post-lunch, the afternoon buzzed with exciting chance games, adding an extra layer of playful excitement and fellowship.

This celebration beautifully captured the essence of childhood—full of play, dreams, and potential—while inspiring these young minds to spread their wings and soar toward horizons of learning, joy, and personal growth.
