Young Talent Shines as PU Students Throng Don Bosco Campus for ‘Yuva Shakti Utsav’

YADGIR: The Don Bosco Degree College campus was a beehive of activity on December 28, as over 300 students from 25 Pre-University (PU) colleges across the district gathered for the Bosco Yuva Shakti Utsav. The inter-college fest served as a platform for students to showcase their prowess in sports, academics, and innovation.

Grand Inauguration
The event was officially inaugurated by Sri Pruthvik Shankar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Yadgir. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged the youth to balance their academic pursuits with extracurricular activities to ensure holistic development.

The Spirit of Competition
The festival featured high-energy competitions, including a Cricket Tournament, a Quiz Competition, and a Science & IT Exhibition.

Cricket: A total of 20 teams battled for the top spot. In the Boys’ Category, Sahyadri PU Science College emerged victorious, while Mahatma Gandhi PU College clinched the First Prize in the Girls’ section.

Quiz: The intellectual challenge was won by Sahyadri PU College, further solidifying their dominant performance at the fest.

Science & IT Exhibition: Demonstrating technical innovation, Don Bosco PU College secured the first position for their exhibition project.

Award Ceremony
The valedictory ceremony saw Mr. Raghavendra, Executive Engineer of GESCOM Yadgir, and Mr. Farukh Choudhary, a National Football Player, distributing prizes to the winners. The guests commended the participants for their sportsmanship and creativity. The event concluded in the presence of college authorities, faculty members, and a cheering crowd of students.
