Coastal Security Cyclothon 2026

The Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP), in collaboration with Quilon Mallu Soldiers Family Meet & Charitable Society (QMS), organized a Coastal Security Awareness Programme on February 20, 2026, at Kollam Beach Ground. The event featured an awareness session conducted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on coastal security threats and the importance of public vigilance.

The event was part of the “Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon 2026” outreach programme, marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. The cyclothon, covering India’s entire coastline with 125 participants, was received by FCDP and QMS. FCDP Programme Manager Mrs. Gretta Raju and QMS President Mr. Kishore Athijeevan honored the Cyclothon Team Captain, Deputy Commandant Ashok Nandini Mohanty.

CISF representatives interacted with members of the organizations and emphasized the crucial role of public participation in ensuring coastal security. The officials also appreciated the initiatives of FCDP-TMS in promoting social, economic, and security awareness among the coastal population. Patriotic songs and cultural dance performances added color and spirit to the programme. The programme, conducted by FCDP under the leadership of CISF, marks a significant milestone in strengthening coastal security.
