Legal Awareness Programme Held at Sanjunagar to Educate Public on Child Rights

Legal Awareness Programme on 22.08.2026, a “Legal Awareness” programme was organized at the premises of Bhavani Temple, Sanjunagar, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kalaburagi, Don Bosco Institution, and Enfold Organization.
Sri Srinivas Navale, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary, DLSA, Kalaburagi, participated as the Chief Guest. Fr. Kuriakose, Director of Don Bosco Institution, welcomed Sri Srinivas Navale and inaugurated the programme.
The Chief Guest, Sri Srinivas Navale, addressed the public and provided detailed information about children’s rights and laws related to child protection. He created awareness among the public about various issues such as violence against children, sexual abuse, child labour, and child marriage.
He emphasized that no child should be deprived of education and that every child has the right to education. He stated that it is the responsibility of parents to send their children to school and provide the necessary encouragement and support for their education.
On the occasion, Advocate Smt. Geetha provided information to the public about violence against women, various issues faced by children, and their rights. She advised women and children who face any form of violence or injustice to seek assistance from the concerned departments and legal services institutions.
As part of the programme, legal awareness pamphlets were distributed among the public. Information was provided on various legal issues, including child protection, education, child marriage, child labour, and violence against women and children.
The public participated in the programme with interest and gained valuable information about the law and children’s rights. Thus, the programme organized with the objective of creating legal awareness among the people of Sanjunagar was successfully conducted.
Around 80 people, including Advocate Smt. Geetha and Sanju Kumar Dongurgoan, participated in the programme.
