Don Bosco School, Hassan Inaugurates the New Academic Year 2026–2027

Hassan, Karnataka: Don Bosco School, Hassan, officially inaugurated the new academic year 2026–2027 with a meaningful gathering that marked the beginning of another year of learning, growth, and community building. The ceremony brought together students, staff, parents, and distinguished guests to celebrate the school’s continued commitment to holistic education and value-based formation.

The school community begins the new academic year with 69 students supported by a dedicated team of 9 teaching and non-teaching staff members. The inauguration reflected the institution’s mission of nurturing young minds through academic excellence, character formation, and spiritual values while expressing gratitude for God’s guidance and blessings.

The occasion was graced by several distinguished guests and well-wishers. Mrs. Zita Fernandez, an experienced educator from Mangalore, served as the Chief Guest. Holding a Teacher’s Certificate in Higher Education (TCH) and a postgraduate degree, she has served in schools at Koppa and Mangalore and continues to be a valued supporter of the Don Bosco community in Hassan. Addressing the gathering, she encouraged students to pursue knowledge with dedication and embrace the opportunities that the new academic year brings.

The event was also attended by Rev. Fr. Andrew, who serves as the Manager of Don Bosco School and Principal of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Hassan. His leadership continues to guide the institution towards academic excellence and holistic development.

Joining the celebration was Rev. Fr. C. L. Varghese, SDB, the newly appointed Administrator of the School, ITI, and farm operations. Recognized for his energetic leadership and commitment to community development, Fr. The institution also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Sr. Annakutty for her continued support and encouragement. Gratitude was extended to Mrs. Sudha, representing Kavalikere Panchayat, and Mr. Umesh, representing Muddanahalli Panchayat, for their active involvement and steadfast support for the school’s initiatives.
