DBYC Membership Day

​The Membership Day and General Body Meeting of the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Angamaly, was held on October 18, 2026, at the L.P. School Entrance within the Don Bosco campus. The gathering commenced at 7:15 PM with approximately 30 enthusiastic youth members in attendance. The meeting was officially inaugurated by Fr. Joseph Elevanal, who extended a cordial welcome to all present and specially introduced and welcomed the new Director and the Brother appointed to guide and support the Youth Centre. In his opening address, Father emphasized the vital importance of youth fellowship, character formation, and active involvement in both sports and community life.

​The primary agenda of the meeting centered on the election of the new executive committee, the upcoming launch of the Basketball Club, and the organization of an upcoming Football Tournament. Following constructive deliberations on the vision and activities planned for the upcoming term, elections were conducted in a smooth and democratic manner to select the executive office-bearers for 2026–2027.

​The newly elected executive committee comprises Ashik as President, Solomon as Vice President, Akhila as Secretary, and Thomas as Treasurer. To ensure dedicated focus on sports and recreation, specific coordinators were also elected: Glisten as Basketball In-charge, Saran Dev as Football In-charge, and Abiram as Badminton In-charge.
​The newly inducted leadership team discussed preliminary arrangements for the official rollout of the Basketball Club, as well as the tournament structure and timelines for the proposed football championship. The meeting concluded on an energetic and promising note, with the newly appointed committee and members expressing their dedication to driving dynamic sports, cultural, and leadership initiatives for the youth of Angamaly.
